Reasons why I've picked this game -
Firstly I like this game because I'm interested in Grand Prix racing.
Its a solitaire game that allows you enough decision making to really
influence the course of the game
One race will take only about thirty minutes to play (a season will take 8
hours)
Once you've got the hang of it, the game moves along quickly and retains
your interest
You have the racing side of the game to contend with plus the financial side.
Both are important if you want to be successful
The presentation of the game isn't too good but this doesn't really matter
when you get engrossed in the game

Reasons why I've picked this game -
Its one of the most interesting of the Avalon Hill boards
The game is divided into distinct segments that add variety
Firstly you need to land your troops and ground the HMS Campbelltown.
This is largely a matter of luck but even so its very tense throwing the dice.
Secondly your commandos have to carry out their missions with, at first,
very little opposition from the Germans. This opposition builds up turn by
turn so that you are very aware of the limitation of time.
Finally you have to try to secure the escape of as many commandos as
possible
Its a game that retains your interest and that can be played over and over
again.
